Salt & Pepper both off to a running start with an egg from each today.

Lacey's behaviour is a bit strange. She's very slow & sluggish when
normally she's quick & flighty. We've given her a good examination and
can't see any obvious problem.
3
We've brought Lacey indoors this evening to observe her more closely.
She's got a nice "bed in a box" by the kitchen radiator.
4
Lacey went out with the other chicks for fresh air today but when it came to
"bedtime" she was to weak to get into the nest. Such a pitiful sight
as she tried to flap her wings and make just a little jump onto the ladder.
So it's back to the kitchen and now her breathing seems a bit laboured.
5
No improvement and we're very worried we will lose Lacey. Very glad
we've isolated her as she could be infectious to the other chickens.
6
Lacey left us at 1am this morning.
Later this morning we buried her in
the orchard with Titfer.
Yes, I've cried my tears and I'm still very
sad. She was such a pretty little chick.
7
Clover used to give Lacey a peck on the perch every night. Do you
think chickens miss each other?
