Jan We discovered that Muppet was a little boy, which meant he had to go as he was just too aggressive, especially with poor old Aggie.
Feb   Muppet left, Clover arrived and it snowed.
Mar My first rally!  I accompanied Crow as his driver on the Printemps Night Trial!  Not a real rally-type rally, more of a driving treasure hunt.  Two and a half hours of great fun and we got 2nd place!!!

Did you know that hens don't like hailstones?  Well, it's true.  Nothing, but nothing has ever made our hens shelter in the chicken run in the middle of the day - not heavy rain - not gale force winds - but hailstones sent them running for cover.  They might be bird brained, but they're not entirely stupid!
Apr We nearly lost Clover when she fell into the pond while we were out exercising and almost drowned.  She had a night in the house and recovered so well that she laid an egg the next day.

An amazingly hot April - 25C on 14th!  The fruit trees responded well and luckily no frosts followed so it turned out to be a bumper fruit year.
May Ray bought a historic Ford Escort RS2000 Mark 1.

My treat was a net tunnel to grow my veggies in.

Jun A very busy gardening month, especially in the net tunnel, despite a very serious amount of rain, far too much for June.
Jly
We held our two annual Pegularity days and raised over £400 for charity.
Tat ended her astonishing run of laying for 89 consecutive days.
Aug We lost Titfer - had to have her put to sleep as she was a very sick chick.

Very busy month.  We ran our first historic rally with 47 cars competing and raised over £1200 for charity.

We went to Pidley to witness the World Teddy Bear Parachuting Championship.

We had a long weekend with friends in Tideswell.

Sep   I reached my half century and spent it in Portugal.
Oct We got two new chicks - Salt & Pepper, 18 weeks old.

Having won last year, Ray was 2nd in the Historic Rally Championship.

Nov

Tat had a serious moult and ended up looking quite a state.

Salt & Pepper started laying.

A trip to Yorkshire for the Beaver Rally.

Dec Ray got 9th place on the Preston rally - best ever at this tough event.

All in all I had a pretty successful gardening year.  The chest freezer is still full to the gunnels with produce, we've got potatoes, onions and apples stored in the stable, I produced over 180 jars of jam and chutney and I'm still harvesting turnip, celeriac, jerusalem artichokes, leeks, spinach, beetroot, carrots and chard from the garden, as required.
