  • Our seventh consecutive year of Leg work around Longfield.

  • 10:45 to 11:00
Arrival. Just time for a cuppa and cake. All day refreshments provided.

  • 11:15 to 13:30
Leg-ability 1 (Search Trial): Previously known as the Longfield Triangle.
A contest to test your searching capabilities. Find 16 code boards, which guide you to 8 more, then another 4, a pair, and a final board which points you to a treasure cache. A two-hour romp through the woods and field of Longfield.
Download The Definitive Guide to the Longfield Leg-ability Search Trial for further details.

  • 13:30 to 14:30
Lunch. A sumptuous buffet while you swap tales about your treasure hunt.

  • 14:30 to 15:30
Leg-ability 2 (Time Trial): After lunch choose from two local walks of around 1.5 - 2.5 miles and deposit any timepiece you have (including GPSr's) before you start. Predict exactly how long the walk will take you; there are penalties for getting back too early or too late. You'll have to record code boards on route to prove you completed the walk.
As added value for any geocachers that come there will be two new caches to find. (Rally Round 64 aka Leg-ability 3 and Rally Round 65 aka Leg-ability 4)

  • 15:30 to 15:45
Time for a tea break and Leg-ability 3: (Distance Trial) There will be a course laid out in the ménage. Measure/guess the distance of the course to the nearest centimetre – without using any measuring instrument, or calibrated feet!

  • 15:45 to 16:45
Leg-ability 4: (Average Speed Trial) Also known as a Pegularity. Set off on a fixed route around Longfield (between 0.5 and 1.0 miles) and say what speed you will attempt to average (between 1.5 and 3.0 mph). We know the exact distance – you won’t. Penalties for arriving early or late. (Pegularity Route Map)
