Route Instructions

From the Pegularity Start Control, walk directly to the front gate and turn left. 
Walk along the left side of the road for about a quarter of a mile, then turn sharp left onto the first footpath you encounter. 
Continue on the footpath, keeping right of the fallen tree and passing the yellow trailer to your right.
Pass the grey storage tank on your right.
When you reach the spinney turn right and then left.
Continue to the edge of the cultivated field and turn left.
At the end of the spinney, follow the footpath between the ditch to your left and cultivated field to your right.
When the ditch turns left continue 60 metres across cultivated land to the small bridge.
Write the Route Check codeword at the bridge on your Pegularity Sheet.
Turn around and retrace your route back to Longfield.

Here's an explanation of what each of the colour coded boxes represents:

Dark Green
Your name and start time should already have been entered. The start marshal will ask for and enter your Nominated Average Speed (NAS) in miles per hour (to one decimal place).
At the Pegularity Finish the finish marshal will record your arrival time and keep the Sheet for marking.

Cyan
On route, refer to your Route Instructions and enter answers to any Route Checks.

Pink
For official use only. In this example below, the actual route distance was 1.50 miles. At a nominated speed of 3.0 mph this should have taken Ray, 30 minutes (1.5/3.0 * 60). He actually took 57 seconds longer, so received a penalty of 57 marks. To add to this, the route checks was answered incorrectly, so a further 10 mark penalty was applied.
