When I ventured into the woods to sweep the paths at 7:15, I thought "Thank goodness the stormy rain forecast was wrong". Five minutes later I was heading for cover as the heavens opened. I slumped into depression that all our preparation was to be wasted. The phone would start ringing and people would make excuses about not wanting to get wet.

How wrong I was. The rain cleared, the skies stayed just cloudy, and by the end of the day the sun was shining. And of course, the weather threat did not deter you - just one no show.

There were so many tales of fun and frolics in the woods, just too many to repeat here. Besides, I don't want to give too many secrets away for round 2 of the Pegularities in two weeks time. Nor can I reveal what and where regarding the Route Checks, nor the exact distances you walked for the same reason.

The food disappeared rapidly so I won't be eating the surplus over the coming week. Good news: you must have enjoyed it; Bad news: I was quite looking forward to living off the excellent catering from Christine; and special thanks to Sandra for adding to our feast.
