Longfield Pegularities 2007 - July 15

Well, we were B lucky with the weather again; it bucketed down overnight but by the time the first competitor arrived the sun and breeze were drying the fields and woods quite nicely.

Many new faces at the this event and I hope they have not been deterred by the strange behaviour of Pegularitists. Some took it seriously (Robin was seen pouring over pages of mathematics), others were just happy to be strolling in the sunshine. Full marks to those with young ones in tow who must have had a hectic day navigating, timekeeping and overseeing.

You seemed to like the food, but we have plenty of beer left over, so we'll do our best to finish it for you.

Thanks to Sue Potter for helping with the preparation, Andrea Weston for the delicious quiches, Paul Carlier and Andrea for helping with timekeeping, and everyone for your donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. We raised £200.70 on the day and a grand total of £405.70 for the two events. Your donation has already been paid on-line to MSS (ref: 729200753035)

Pegularity 1:

Every codeboard was found by at least one person.

Pegularity 2:
was 0.8532 miles. At the most popular speed of 1.5 mph it should have taken you 34 minutes 8 seconds. The codeboards were WALK FAST DOWN THIS PATH.

Pegularity 3:
The distance to and from the first point was 1.66 miles; second point 2.08 miles. Either should have taken you 40 minutes.

Pegularity 4:
was 0.7061 miles. At the most popular speed of 1.5 mph it should have taken you 28 minutes 15 seconds. The codeboards were MUCH TIME LOST LAST YEAR.

If you did everything correctly and the longest version of Pegularity 3, you would have walked 4.28 miles.
